Citi Every Step of the Way #EveryStep – Olympics

This post was created in partnership with Citi®. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I don’t know about you but I have been watching the Olympics. I love watching the ice skating. That is my favorite event in the Winter Olympics. Which is one of the reasons I’m writing this post. I don’t usually write about sports but I wanted to make my readers aware of what Citi and nine US Olympic athletes are doing. Each Team Citi athlete has teamed up with a U.S. Olympic, Paralympic or Community program in need.

Citi donated $500,000 to these programs. Now they need your help placing that money. You help decide where it goes with just a click. I’m helping to spread the word about this amazing program and the chance to give back during this exciting season!

I myself have already gone to the site and watched all the videos and I learned a lot about our athletes. The obstacles they have over come to get to where they are is just amazing! I’ve watched all of their video’s multiple times trying to decided who to do a blog post about. And it’s a hard decision so I decided to give myself a couple more days to decide. But for now I will introduce you to these nice amazing athletes and the programs they are representing.

Julie Chu – The USA Hockey Foundation
Picabo Street – The Team USA Stay on the Slopes Initiative
Alana Nichols – Team USA Paralympic Champion Fund
Dan Jensen – The Olympians for Olympians Relief Fund
Evan Lysacek – Figure Skating in Harlem
Billy Demong – Team for Tomorrow
Erin Hamlin – USA Luge Slider Search
Rico Roman – Operation Comfort
Ted Ligety – Youth Enrichment Services

So head over to the website and find out more about the athletes and the programs they support. Go help Citi decide where to place the funds.

I know Helene. I felt the same way. I see them on TV as athletes but when you read about them on the site and listen to them talk about how far they have come, it makes them more of an individual.

  22. 23

I love seeing the contributions being given, these athletes work their lives away to be the best. I love knowing more about the skaters too!

Wow that is so great for the sponsored athletes and for the people these athletes inspire. But honestly the olympics have been heavily shadowed by all the riots in Ukraine for me. If I could truly choose, i’d send money to aide recovery there.
